3 Superstars who can replace Braun Strowman at TLC 2018

Tables, Ladders, and Chair 2018 are less than three weeks away, and there are a few great matches lined up for the event. One of the biggest matches announced for the event is scheduled between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman.

Baron Corbin did well the same night to take out the big man with the help of the two biggest heels on RAW Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre who laid waste to the big man and severely injured his elbow in the process. This allowed Strowman to go away for some time to get a surgery for a legitimate elbow injury and could see him off television for some time.

Even though Baron Corbin confirmed that the match will have to go through, it seems unlikely that the big man will be able to recover on time and get in the ring with Corbin, unless it’s just for a squash match.

Keeping that in mind, we have come up with three names who could replace Braun Strowman at TLC 2018, and make an impact which could send Baron Corbin packing from his duties.

#3 Bray Wyatt

One of the more obvious choices for Barun’s replacement is none other than The Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt had been away from active competition since Matt Hardy took a break from wrestling and the duo who were working as a tag team decided to put a brake on proceedings.

After a four-month hiatus, Bray returned to active competition on November 25, 2018, at WWE Starrcade to accept Baron Corbin’s open challenge and defeat him convincingly. This was probably WWE testing out the superstar as Braun’s replacement already knowing that the big man might not be able to compete with his injury.

The match between Corbin and Wyatt did not air on the WWE Network, which could be a ploy by WWE to keep the match under wraps and only use the two superstars in the ring again in case Braun cannot work the match at TLC.

#2 Finn Balor

The most obvious choice as Braun Strowman’s replacement would be the Demonic Angel Finn Balor. Why is that so? Corbin and Balor have a history dating back almost three to four months. The two have had several matches which have all seen Corbin trying to destroy Balor.

Balor has come out on top more often than not, but this hasn’t stopped Corbin from continuously torturing him with unfair matches. The most recent one involved him making Corbin and Balor’s single’s match a handicap match with the addition of Drew McIntyre.

In August we saw Finn Balor bring out the demon within to beat Baron Corbin in under two minutes at SummerSlam 2018. This annoyed the Acting General Manager more and since then we have seen the two in the ring together numerous times.

TLC could be Balor’s ticket to avenge all the wrongs done to him by Corbin, as he could very well return as The Demon King and lay waste to the Acting GM once again ending his reign as Raw’s chief.

A match between Balor and Corbin, especially with Balor as The Demon King once again, would be a treat to watch and a fitting end to their rivalry.

#1 Curt Hawkins

This could work out well...right?
This could work out well...right?

You must think I’m crazy, right? Well, hear me out first.

Curt Hawkins has lost over 220 matches in a row with the WWE. He has won only 40 matches in WWE in total and lost 313 matches. That has taken his losing percentage to over 87%.

Since WWE and Hawkins have been working hard on his streak and making it a point that people do remember him and his unique achievement, there must be something they are cooking up behind closed doors.

This could be the perfect opportunity for Hawkins to end his losing streak and get on a winning streak after that. Baron Corbin hasn’t been kind to anyone on the Raw roster unless they have benefited him and even teamed Ember Moon with Hawkins who is proving to be very unlucky.

If Corbin is in the middle of the ring at TLC waiting for Strowman to come out, knowing that he won’t, the pop Hawkins will receive when his music hits will be massive. A win over Corbin to end his reign as general manager would be even bigger and provide great entertainment to the fans while giving a fitting end to Hawkins’ losing streak.

Afterall, Hawkins did try to team up with Braun Strowman for his tag team match at WrestleMania against The Bar. Maybe this will be his way of proving to The Monster Among Men that he is worthy enough of walking alongside him.
