Kairi Sane is currently at the top of the NXT women’s division after winning her first major title in the WWE. She is scheduled to take on Shayna Baszler at Evolution in a rematch of their NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 bout where the titles changed hands.
Io Shirai, on the other hand, will face Toni Storm in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament’s final match. It’s expected that Shirai will beat Toni Storm to win the tournament.
Io Shirai and Kairi have both wrestled for World Wonder Ring Stardom for a long time, and the WWE will surely want to cash in on that by putting the two in a feud sooner than later.
