SmackDown Live is expected to have a mega show this week as WWE prepares to take the battles to the Saudi Kingdom this coming Friday.
While Raw has seen many ups and downs in recent months, SmackDown has managed to stay solid more often than not, and this has allowed WWE to have some good showing among bad ratings.
With the new wild card rule in effect, things have heated up much more between the men who will feature at the Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia, as the women will not be allowed to travel to the Kingdom.
With that in mind, we can assume that the creatives will want to surprise the fans with a few shocks so that the storylines can get even more solid for the Super ShowDown event, and also for the rivalries that will take place after it since many wrestlers won’t be making the trip for the event.

#3 Goldberg ups the stakes
One of the biggest matches scheduled for the Super ShowDown event is between two living legends, Goldberg and The Undertaker. This will mark the first one-on-one match between each other. Even though the match is a decade too late, many die-hard fans will still be interested in watching what’ll go down between the two men.
The Undertaker will make an appearance on Raw this week to probably send a warning to Goldberg. Goldberg is expected to return the favor when he appears for the first time ever on SmackDown Live.
While the promos might end up being generic, it is possible that Goldberg will surprise the WWE Universe by upping the stakes for the big match.
Goldberg could make it a career vs. career match, with the loser never stepping into a wrestling ring for a match again.
This will surely make the match more interesting than it already is.
#2 Revitalize the Tag Team Division
Last week on SmackDown, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan made it to the ring for a questionable interview. They insulted the entire tag team division of the brand and spoke about how no one was worthy of challenging them.
Later in the segment, Heavy Machinery made their way out to the middle to challenge the champions who conveniently left the ring.
It’s possible that WWE wanted to expose the weakness of the division to make it seem better in the coming week. They can do so by returning the Authors of Pain on the blue brand this week and surprising everyone.
The duo previously battled on Raw and won the Tag Team Championships before losing them and Akam suffered an injury. Rezar continued to battle in a few singles matches on Main Event, keeping the team in everyone’s minds.
There are reports that the duo are now fit to return to television soon, and they could make an appearance on SmackDown this week wrecking Heavy Machinery and issuing a challenge to Bryan and Rowan.
#1 The Lady, The Queen, The Hugger, and The Man
Last week on SmackDown, Lacey Evans got her first chance at the SmackDown Women’s Championship which is currently held by Bayley. Lacey has now battled for both the top women’s titles in the company but is yet to have an impressive showing against the top women.
Even though The Sassy Southern Belle doesn’t have much to show for the incredible push she has received on the main roster, it seems like she is slowly getting into a feud with Charlotte Flair.
The two got into a brawl last week on SmackDown and have exchanged some harsh words on Twitter since then. It seems more than likely that the two women will be getting into a heated rivalry soon.
However, there is a chance that WWE will surprise everyone once again, and the two women will forge an alliance this week so that Lacey can help Charlotte win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, while Charlotte can help Lacey take down The Man.
Whether or not the creatives have this surprise in store for us will need to be seen.
