As per The Champ, 2025 is going to be his last year as an active wrestler. He revealed that he and WWE are working closely to begin his retirement tour as early as January 2025 and go on until December 2025, covering as many dates as possible.

While fans are hoping that The Leader of Cenation becomes a 17-time World Champion in 2025, there are three other things John Cena must aim to do next year before hanging up his boots.

#3. Team up with Brock Lesnar for one night only

John Cena and Brock Lesnar teamed up to take on Kurt Angle and The Undertaker on the October 2nd, 2003, episode of WWE SmackDown. However, the two were still making their mark in WWE at that time, with both having debuted in 2002.

Currently, Cena and Lesnar continue to be two of the biggest names in the industry. If WWE Legal clears The Beast's name in 2025, Cena and Lesnar must come together for the first time in 22 years to form a tag team. The duo can take on some of the big names of the current roster, and we could even see Cena and Lesnar vs. Rock and Roman Reigns.

#2. Win the Intercontinental Championship

Cena has won the WWE Championship 13 times and the World Heavyweight Championship three times, making him a 16-time World Champion. Apart from that, The Champ has also won the United States Championship five times and the World & WWE Tag Team Championships two times each.

The Champ has never won the Intercontinental Title during his WWE career. It would be amazing to witness John Cena become a Grand Slam Champion by securing the Intercontinental Championship.

The Doctor of Thuganomics could come back to diss superstars, but he has not returned to WWE for a match or feud ever since John Cena's babyface turn. However, the character was popular with the WWE Universe and can still find traction.

Considering that 2025 will be his retirement tour, Cena should showcase the popular character for at least one feud or match.

These WWE stars may not return on-screen! Who are they?
