Dean Ambrose has been a part of SmackDown Live before, and enjoyed a lot of success on the brand. He was once the United States Champion, and the WWE Champion on the brand.
Currently SmackDown has a new United States Champion, but Shinsuke Nakamura is playing a heel, and not a fighting champion. Ambrose could show up on SmackDown in search of gold, and be the top babyface on the brand with AJ Styles, and challenge the Japanese superstar.
The story would play out well, as Ambrose wants to be a champion, but not turn on his brothers, while Nakamura won’t defend his championship unless he finds a worthy opponent.
Who would be a better choice than the third longest reigning United States Champion in WWE’s history? He's not only a worthy opponent, but also one of the favourite superstars.
