3 things WWE got right on SmackDown Live and 2 things they got wrong (April 9th, 2019)

The New Day faced off against The Bar and RAW's Drew McIntyre, in a bout that saw WWE Champion Kofi Kingston get the pinfall victory.

#1 Got it wrong: Seriously, is the brand split over?!

Braun Strowman was just one of several RAW Superstars who appeared last night.
Braun Strowman was just one of several RAW Superstars who appeared last night.

This is a point I made on my post-RAW commentary, and it continues to be true after last night's SmackDown Live.

Just like on RAW though, this week's SmackDown Live saw a swarm of Superstars from the opposing brand make their way to the ring.

RAW's Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman made their presence felt last night, and whilst it was fun to see the two huge Superstars in action, I can't help but wonder what it means for the brand split.

This has been made more confusing as the company continues to hype up their Superstar Shake-Up for next week, something that feels very irrelevant if stars are jumping the fence anyway.

Hopefully this was just a Mania week thing, and the brand split will return in force next week.
