#2 Got it right: Damned if you do, damned if you don't
![Whilst criticized for being pre-taped, the WWE allowed their employees to spend New Year's with their families.](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/59a00-15463329608985.png 1920w)
One of the biggest complaints about this week's WWE programming, as well as last week's, is that both RAW and SmackDown were pre-taped, leading to spoilers being easily available online.
This has led to a backlash from fans, who have stated that the pre-taping of the shows has led to some of the worst viewing figures in company history.
With that said, these are the same fans who criticized WWE last year, for having their employees wrestle live on Christmas Day.
It seems WWE can't win either way, as they face negativity whatever route they take, and with this one, at least their employees got to enjoy ringing in 2019 with friends and family and will be well rested when they return to live Television.
