3 Things WWE made clear on the RAW after SummerSlam 2019
WWE RAW has been showing improvement in recent weeks. While SummerSlam was one of the best PPVs of the year, the Red Brand continued the impressive run this week, as the Women's Tag Team Titles were defended and the 24/7 title changed hands three times.
We saw a Champion vs Champion match on RAW where AJ Styles fought Seth Rollins. However, the match was interrupted by Gallows and Anderson.
While Rey Mysterio and Andrade fought each other in a two-out-of-three falls match, Drew McIntyre squared off with Cedric Alexander. Following the humiliating loss against Goldberg, Dolph Ziggler fought The Miz. Moreover, Sasha Banks returned to WWE after four months and she made a huge statement.
With some great matches, the Red Brand also had interesting segments. Here, we discuss three things WWE made clear on RAW this week.
#3 Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross will have an impressive title reign
Last week, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross won the Women's Tag Team Titles when they came out on top in the Fatal Four-Way Elimination Tag Team Match. Just one week before SummerSlam, the titles changed hands but The IIconics were not fighting champions. Since winning the titles on RAW last week, Bliss and Cross have already defended the belts twice.
The Women's Tag Team Championship match was added to the Kickoff show of SummerSlam when the Billie Kay and Peyton Royce got a rematch.
Bliss and Cross defended the titles successfully. The Kabuki Warriors were part of the Fatal Four-Way Match last week and they challenged the champions on the Red Brand after SummerSlam. Bliss and Cross proved their worth as they beat Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Since they have already put the belts on the line twice, Bliss and Cross are expected to be fighting champions.
The Women's Tag Team division needs to be rejuvenated and the current champions could be the ones who could give that much-needed jumpstart.
