#1 Turn him heel
In the previous slides, I mentioned that Rollins should refresh his character. No matter what he does, he can't quite be his usual self. What he needs is a heel turn. It's been coming for a while, but it would be better to have it be a slow burner rather than instantly turning him heel.
Unable to handle all the frustration he's dealt with in the last few months, he loses it and wreaks absolute backstage. He could show a lot of edginess and shake things up. But, it would be better if he's not a cowardly heel like he was during his last heel run.
He is damaged and is not able to get out of the rut. The only way he knows to get out of this is to attack everyone and it's a kind of defense mechanism. Rollins has shown in the past that he's more comfortable playing the bad guy. Therefore, a heel run for several months will help him. WWE can also put him back on the top before he feuds against the likes of Aleister Black, Ricochet, and even The Fiend once again many months down the line.
