#2 Vince McMahon wants Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez, Round 2

The Crown Jewel match between Cain Velasquez and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship had an MMA feel to it with both competitors exchanging punches before Lesnar made Velasquez tap out. The ending seemed like a good decision, as it played to each competitor's strengths and reminded fans that this feud had its beginnings in the UFC.

It would be safe to assume that Paul Heyman and Vince McMahon were thrilled with the way the match progressed, so much so that a rematch between Lesnar and Velasquez should be in the cards once Velasquez recovers from injury.

For that to happen, Velasquez has to be a part of the WWE Championship picture by the time he returns. Velasquez needs to be remembered while he is away and not forgotten. Rey Mysterio's continued feud with Brock Lesnar allows that to happen. That might be a possible reason why WWE went ahead with Mysterio vs Lesnar, so that they can continue with the Mysterio Family vs 'The Beast Incarnate' storyline for the foreseeable future.

The feud is almost certain to build to something even bigger and WWE has been patiently escalating things so far, but Rey Mysterio might just be a bridge to Lesnar vs Velasquez 2.
