3 Things WWE subtly told us by booking Brock Lesnar vs Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series

#1 The Fiend is the most protected Superstar in the company right now

This might just be the biggest thing WWE told us by not booking Brock Lesnar vs The Fiend for the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view. After a controversial finish at Hell in a Cell, The Fiend finally accomplished his mission by defeating Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel. Still, it took a lot to get there and booking Fiend matches proved difficult for WWE Creative.

WWE would face the same challenge in booking a Brock Lesnar vs The Fiend bout. Who would come out victorious? Who would come out looking strong? Who might lose momentum in the process? Deciding an outcome for a potential match between The Fiend and Lesnar could have provided WWE Creative with a massive headache.

Vince McMahon is seemingly very high on The Fiend and does not intend to make him look weak right now, especially when his momentum is high. Going by that notion, we may get a clearer picture on who The Fiend's next target will be when he appears this Friday Night on SmackDown. One thing is certain: it won't be Brock Lesnar.
