How should the King of Kings make his much-awaited return?

Triple H is regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in the WWE. The man has played almost every role the professional wrestling world has to offer with perfection. Blueblood snob? Check. Cocky heel? Check. The heel authoritative figure? Double check.

Only Sportskeeda gives you the latest Wrestling News, rumors and updates.

These are just a few of the characters Paul Levesque has perfected. However, he is out of action right now. But, one thing which we are sure is that he hasn't hung up his boots and he will definitely return to the squared circle.

The question remains, when will that happen and who will face him? Let's try to scan through the most probable choices.

#3 An NXT heel figure

Everyone following WWE knows that Triple H is in charge of the NXT. Moreover, many consider him as the sole reason for the brand's success despite being a pre-recorded one. Then, what is stopping him from making an appearance as a heel figure?

"The Game" could replicate the story there with someone like Johnny Gargano. He is definitely a championship material, but according to WWE's books, he is just a B+ player. If Gargano wants to blemish those claims, there is no better way than to take out Triple H and his puppets in the process.

Triple H donned the badass role wonderfully when the main roster had called for it. The NXT roster calls for it now. With its rising popularity, it is only a matter of time Triple H gives in.

#2 A feud with Kurt Angle

Maybe a match with Kurt Angle can do the trick

Kurt Angle and Triple H embarked their rivalry way back in Survivor Series 2017. Triple H had hit a Pedigree on the Olympian and, seemingly, turned his back on the Raw team. But, "The Game" would follow it with another Pedigree on Shane McMahon and pick up the win for his team.

The commentators would explain the action as Triple H's greed to hog the limelight.

While that bout with Angle did appear to get over at WrestleMania, Ronda Rousey's debut overshadowed it.

According to the Raw storyline, Kurt Angle seems to have a rift with the upper strata of management. Right now, it is only Kurt Angle versus Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Stephanie McMahon.

But, given the slow progression of it, we can't help but mull over the idea of Triple H ultimately being a part of it. And when he does so, a match with Kurt Angle is written all over it.

#1 A new version of Evolution

The short-lived reunion proved that the WWE Universe will be interested in the formation of a new Evolution
The short-lived reunion proved that the WWE Universe will be interested in the formation of a new Evolution

Evolution was one of the most devastating heel stables of the WWE. After its breakup in 2005, numerous other heel stables like the Shield, Nexus, and Wyatt Family filled the void. They did have a reunion at 2014 but it failed in creating the spark of the original one.

The stable was framed on pro-wrestling's evolution from the past (Ric Flair) to the present (Triple H), and to the future (Randy Orton and Batista). The idea could be applied to the present scenario as well. Triple H would play the past, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would play the present, and the future would be played by Tommaso Ciampa. A group of four wicked, roguish, and sinister heels.

Evolution was established when WWE was transitioning from the Attitude Era to the Ruthless Aggression Era. Right now, WWE is in a similar position as they are transitioning from the Reality Era to the New Era. Moreover, the WWE main roster lacks a convincing heel stable. Triple H should step up to create one.
