WWE Night of Champions 2023 is less than a week away, and its card looks magnificent. Filled with heavy hitters from top to bottom, the Saudi show is set to be a blockbuster. With four title matches involving stars like Gunther, Bianca Belair, and Roman Reigns alongside two huge non-title grudge matches it looks stacked.

The Jeddah show follows a special Backlash in Puerto Rico full of hometown hero stories, an all-time great crowd, and Bad Bunny's unmatched showmanship. Night of Champions Premium Live Event has a lot in store to surpass the former.

Here are three ways WWE Night of Champions 2023 will be bigger than Backlash:

#3. Roman Reigns will be there

Roman Reigns is the top guy in WWE. It can be argued that there are bigger stars like Brock Lesnar, better in-ring workers like Seth Rollins, or better promos like Edge.

However, at this moment, amidst his nearly 1000-day run as Universal Champion, The Tribal Chief is inarguably the centerpiece of the company's product. Any show he's on instantly gets bigger.

Roman Reigns was not involved in any match at Backlash 2023, but he will be in action at Night of Champions along with Solo Sikoa in a huge title match against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

This means that the Jeddah show will have more star power than the San Juan spectacle. While the latter had Bad Bunny, who is a worldwide musical megastar, he simply doesn't hold the same aura in the squared circle as The Head of The Table.

Coming on Reigns' 1000th day as Champion, it will be WWE's biggest night since WrestleMania 39.

#2. The Night of Champions 2023 crowd will be bigger than Backlash's

The Jeddah Superdome holds almost twice as many fans as the San Juan Coliseum

Backlash 2023 was attended by 17,944 fans who filled the San Juan Coliseum, bringing enough energy to give any WrestleMania crowd a run for its money. In many ways, the crowd amplified the event's success due to the ovations they afforded the likes of Iyo Sky, Zelina Vega, Savio Vega, Carlito and Bad Bunny.

The crowd in the Jeddah Super Dome will have an incredible task on their hands to surpass this, although they have an innate advantage. The Jeddah Super Dome has a capacity of 35-40,000, meaning that from the get-go, there will be more fans in attendance.

Saudi crowds have been known to be as vocal as any in the world, so if they bring that energy, they could outdo Puerto Rico.

#1. Night of Champions 2023 will have much higher stakes than Backlash

In many ways, Backlash 2023 was a low-stakes affair designed for fan service and tying up loose ends. Very few matches on the card had any long-term implications for the company, and most were predictable due to the 2023 Draft. This did not hinder the show's quality, though, and the fans in attendance had a ball at the event.

Night of Champions promises more stakes and consequences and is a lot less predictable. Who will win the Undisputed Tag Team Title match, and what will it mean for the Bloodline and both men's tag divisions?

Will Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes finally end their blood feud or set up a "threequel"? Most importantly, who will write their name into history as the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion?

More championships will be contested, a new World Champion guaranteed, and Mustafa Ali will compete for Gunther's Intercontinental title in front of a crowd he represents.

Night of Champions will not only have similar fan service to Backlash but also much greater championship stakes, automatically making it a bigger night.
