Are Randy Orton and Riddle headed for Splitsville in 2022?
Are Randy Orton and Riddle headed for Splitsville in 2022?

WWE RAW and SmackDown need a reboot in 2022. Certain key players need for their characters to evolve interestingly so that fans are invested in them over the long haul.

Take any great television character, be it Rick Grimes, Walter White, Dexter, or Daenerys Targaryen. We saw how their character arcs changed in their iconic TV shows, which is why we were so engrossed in their characters.

The question now remains who will change and evolve over the following year. Which WWE stars will go over to the dark side and which ones will remain on the path of light, over the coming year? Let's look at the following names and make educated guesses about their trajectory.

You are welcome to weigh in with your thoughts and comments in the space below. Do you think the following heel and face turns will happen?

#5 WWE RAW Superstar Riddle needs to turn heel

Alright, everyone wants RK-Bro to split up down the line with Randy Orton becoming 'The Apex Predator' once more. Some WWE Superstars are natural heels and Randy Orton is certainly one of them. But it will be interesting to see if Riddle can split away from Randy Orton and swerve the world by going heel.

Another alternative is both members of RK-Bro turning heel to feud with the likes of The Street Profits or even The New Day, if they show up on RAW following the next Superstar Shake-Up.

Riddle needs to showcase yet another side of his persona soon. Yes, he is still entertaining but it's necessary for him to change before the act grows tired.

Unlike someone like Rey Mysterio, there is a heel in him waiting to break through. Is this a turn you want to see?

#4 WWE SmackDown Superstar Bayley needs to turn face

In WWE and in life, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Bayley has been away from the company for far too long, and she needs to return as a fan-favorite to take Charlotte Flair down for good.

With Toni Storm's departure from the company, there's no one at Charlotte Flair's level right now, unless you bring in a veteran like Lita to take her on. Bayley needs to come back and challenge The Queen to a series of matches that elevates the SmackDown Women's Championship.

#3 RAW star Dominik really needs to turn heel and fast

Dominik Mysterio was tossed into the deep end of the pool without fair warning. He did not enjoy an NXT stint and came into the big-time to feud with a top star in Seth Rollins.

There's been no character development since, as he's just partnered with his father in a series of tag team matches. This is a man who needs to turn heel on his father for an engrossing feud.

#2 WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch needs to turn face again

Listen, the WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch may be a heel, but the crowds love her. She was already incredibly over when she returned at SummerSlam to a massive pop.

And yet, Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard decided to go against the grain, swim against the tide, and turn her into a villain. 2022 is when the crowds need to embrace her again, so she becomes a Champion of the people.

#1 Big E may find that he'll have more success as a heel

Isn't it insane that Big E was the Champion of the company's flagship brand not long ago, and suddenly, he's nowhere to be seen? Maybe the babyface character that he's played for so very long has run its course and now there's the need to evolve, to transform, to change into a vicious heel.

Much like Roman Reigns, this powerhouse character may be something that showcases Big E's true colors. Somehow his babyface persona didn't really reflect his potential.
