Shelton Benjamin
The WWE Universe is well aware of the fact that Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin are very close friends in real life. Back in college, Brock Lesnar was Shelton's roommate. They formed a tag team in OVW, and teamed up on various occasions during Lesnar's stint in the developmental territory. Their first singles match took place at an MSG show, where Brock Lesnar defeated Benjamin, Charlie Haas, and Kurt Angle in a Gauntlet match.
Around two weeks later, Brock Lesnar met the trio again in a second Gauntlet match, this time on SmackDown. This time as well, Brock defeated all three members of Team Angle. Lesnar and Benjamin later squared off in a series of six-Man Tag Team encounters, but never in a singles match. During Brock Lesnar's second WWE stint, he shared a hilarious moment with Benjamin at the 2020 Royal Rumble, where Lesnar hinted that he would align with his friend again, but proceeded to throw him out of the ring when his guard was down.

While he started writing WWE articles for Sportskeeda in 2019 as a hobby, it eventually became a significant part of his professional journey.

He has interviewed prominent pro wrestling personalities like Noam Dar, Angry Miz Girl, Brendan Cobbina, and Jesse Lambert. Abhilash is a big fan of AEW star Orange Cassidy, as he believes the former International Champion’s on-screen gimmick of an extremely lazy guy resonates with him.
Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
When not reporting on pro wrestling, Abhilash likes to work out, go on walks, read, and explore new eateries.
