2025 is set to be an interesting year for WWE. For starters, next year, the promotion will see Monday Night RAW move to video streaming giant Netflix in a bid to increase viewership. It will also be marked by the return of John Cena, who will begin his retirement tour and reportedly wrestle for the majority of 2025.

However, apart from these two events, many other potential milestones make next year interesting. In 2025, many WWE Superstars will have the opportunity to achieve milestones that will elevate their professional wrestling career, and in this article, we will look at three such superstars.

Most fans will agree that John Cena is one of the greatest superstars in WWE history. One way this statement can be proven true comes from the fact that Cena is currently tied with Ric Flair for the most world championships won in the promotion - 16.

While sharing this milestone with a legend like Flair is massive, Cena could go one up on The Nature Boy as he could be booked to win a world championship in 2025. If Cena does end up winning a world title, it would be his 17th world title and would only elevate his GOAT status in the promotion.

#3. John Cena becomes Grand Slam Champion

Even though John Cena is a 16-time world champion in WWE, he hasn't become a Grand Slam Champion yet. While Cena has almost won every title in the Triple H-led promotion, the one title he has yet to win is the Intercontinental Championship. This could be solved when Cena makes his return to WWE next year.

By booking Cena to win the IC Title, Triple H will not only ensure that Cena becomes a Grand Slam Champion but also ensure the prestige of the IC Title increases because someone like Cena is holding the belt. This booking would be fair to both Cena and WWE as it's beneficial for both.

#2. Sheamus becomes Grand Slam Champion

Like John Cena, Sheamus is another veteran who is yet to become a Grand Slam Champion as he too has never won the Intercontinental Championship. Most recently, at Survivor Series: WarGames, Sheamus had the chance to win the IC Title as he faced Bron Breakker in a Triple Threat match also involving Ludwig Kaiser.

However, after an action-packed match between the three men, it was Breakker who retained the title. But this defeat at Survivor Series does not mean he will never win the IC Title. In 2025, The Celtic Warrior will be one of the frontrunners to win this belt.

#1. Hat-Trick of WrestleMania Main Events for Cody Rhodes

At both WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes main-evented The Show of Shows, along with Roman Reigns. Next year at WrestleMania 41 from Las Vegas, The American Nightmare could most likely main-event his third consecutive WrestleMania.

On SmackDown, The American Nightmare is the current Undisputed WWE Champion. Hence, it would only be fair to assume that Rhodes will be booked to defend his belt in the main event of WrestleMania 41 since it's hard seeing him lose the belt before that. This seems possible due to the overwhelming fan approval for Rhodes, evidenced by his constant top position in merchandise sales and live reactions throughout the year.
