#1. Shouldn't confront Edge: Big E

This is a match that doesn't make much sense for Edge. Big E is currently the fastest-rising babyface star on SmackDown, and he is expected to get a big push in the coming year or two.
But unlike a lot of other babyfaces, Big E isn't one who can instantly reach a top-level. As with most superstars, a long but organic build is the way to become a main event superstar.

He was recently set to begin a feud against Aleister Black, but after everything was ready for the latter's return after seven months, he was abruptly released. It's a shame because that would have been an interesting program heading into the summer of 2021.
Either way, Big E and Edge shouldn't cross paths now, since there's little to no appeal for the match. Even if The Rated-R Superstar is a heel, it's another situation where WWE is setting up a superstar to fail. In this case, that would be Big E.
No matter what the dynamic is, a feud against Edge is unlikely to benefit Big E.
