Orton beat Kingston on SmackDown this week

Randy Orton is one of the most popular Superstars in WWE. He has (apparently) started a feud with current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and could be challenging him for the title soon. Orton’s last World Championship reign came back in 2017 when he beat Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. Since then, The Viper hasn’t been used correctly by WWE but things could change now, as Orton defeated The New Day this week by pinning Kingston on SmackDown.

However, we may not see him taking many bumps in the ring because of his neck injury. Since Super ShowDown, Orton wasn’t seen in WWE, which indicated that he could be injured. While a recent report from Dave Meltzer confirms that Orton is indeed injured, this injury wouldn’t keep him away from the ring because his doctor has said that he doesn’t require surgery.
