Goldberg may not be an active WWE Superstar, but he is still a popular figure among wrestling fans. The former Universal Champion returned to in-ring action in 2016 where he got a squash victory against Lesnar. Soon he became Universal Champion but later dropped it to The Beast at WrestleMania 33.

Since then Goldberg hasn’t fought a single match, but now, WWE has officially announced his return at their next Saudi Arabia event. As of now, WWE hasn’t confirmed who will face Goldberg, but since many legends are returning, he has no shortage of opponents.

The former champion is also heavily rumoured to join the AEW roster soon, as he has only signed a one-off deal with WWE. However, we should not forget that Vince has already signed multiple Superstars under a legends contract without actually using them.

Since Goldberg is still a famous Superstar and can also wrestle, it wouldn’t be easy for AEW to sign him. Vince could offer a better deal to Goldberg so that he could not join AEW but only time will tell what will happen.
