Another Superstar who returned from injury a couple of months ago and didn't feature at the Showcase of Immortals was Kevin Owens. To be honest, it really hurts to see Owens not being involved in a particular feud as he is a superstar of immense potential and one of the very best on the mic.
Since his return, Owens has been underbooked and he hasn't really got many reactions out of the WWE Universe, so, giving him a match against the Intercontinental Champion makes sense as that could see Owens get some kind of pop and maybe just maybe see him return to his old self.
After that triple threat match for the WWE Championship at Fastlane, Owens has been involved in meaningless matches and WWE hasn't really known what to do with him, so, after the Superstar Shake-up, if Owens and Balor end up being in the same brand, WWE should give this match a green light as these two talented superstars have the capability to produce a match of the year candidate.
