3 times WWE screwed Dolph Ziggler

Ente
It's sad really!

For those who might've blinked could've missed Dolph Ziggler's return at the Royal Rumble this year. #30 was saved for a returning Ziggler and what did he do with the opportunity? Nothing at all. He was in for a mere 2 minutes. He did get an elimination though.

This isn't the first time WWE has booked him bad. In some cases screwed him over as well. WWE doesn't seem to know what to do with him anymore.

Pointless title runs or even horrible gimmicks, Ziggler has gotten the bad side of things over the years. Here's a look at some of these runs.

#1 Vickie Guerrero

Vickie helped a bit too much.

Don't get me wrong, Ziggler definitely needed a manager to help him out during their run together. But it didn't really work. When Vickie was teamed up with Edge, it worked. Edge was already at the top and their chemistry just clicked. It didn't with Ziggler. It might've been because Ziggler was still trying to find his own way during that time period.

They both would argue a lot. Ziggler blaming Vickie for everything and then next week they were business partners again like nothing ever happened. Any heat the duo was getting wasn't because of Ziggler, it was because of Vickie.

Vickie was a heat magnet. Opening her mouth automatically got the fans booing her. Ziggler was kind of there for the ride sadly.

#2 The romance angle

E
This storyline was horrible!

Just thinking about this storyline makes me want to puke. So, in 2015 Lana and Rusev ''broke up'' and it created an awful storyline that had poor Dolph thrown into it. Thankfully the story didn't last too long because, in real life, Lana and Rusev announced that they were actually getting married. WWE didn't like that announcement since it was happening in the middle of the feud, but what else is new.

Rusev started ''dating'' Summer Rae and Lana ''dated'' Ziggler. Nothing about this was good. When the feud did end because of Lana and Rusev's real-life engagement, the only thing that affected Ziggler was that he wasn't a serious character anymore.

How could we take him seriously now anyway? The feud got scrapped and Lana returned to Rusev anyway. What a waste of time.

#3 Him ''retiring''

So did he retire or not?

Dolph's latest bad booking was because he decided to ''retire''. Ziggler won the United States Championship in December of last year and then straight away gave up the title to leave WWE. At least we thought so. Flash forward to the Royal Rumble this year and you will see that the angle didn't help.

Some people weren't sure if him leaving was serious or not but considering he just signed another contract with the promotion, it had to have been for show.

His return didn't help and the fact he only lasted two minutes in the Royal Rumble match shows how WWE feels about Ziggler.
