Drew McIntyre

While some people would still like to see Strowman as Universal Champion or Balor get another shot in the main event thanks to a briefcase, those two aren't likely to win. Mr. McMahon isn't a huge fan of Balor's size and Strowman would have already been Universal Champion if that's the direction Creative wanted to take.

One man who has been adamant about both changing the culture in the locker room and lighting fires under the roster is Drew McIntyre. He's someone that WWE could easily build around, and unlike Corbin or Bobby Lashley, he clicks with fans who are followers of character work.

Corbin is annoying because he's annoying, not because he's a fantastic heel. Kevin Owens is a fantastic heel because he's a master at his craft. Corbin just garners sighs from most of the audience. Lashley has everything a WWE superstar should have - except for a personality. He's like plain yogurt - pretty good when paired with other ingredients but pretty boring by itself. He just doesn't excite the fans like McIntyre can and does.

There have even been rumblings backstage about 'creating a huge new star' out of the winner of the briefcases, and WWE desperately needs to do that. The best option for the men in that regard would be McIntyre, he's already been terrorizing Monday nights and would be cemented as the top heel in WWE if he won the briefcase and eventually cashed in on Seth Rollins.
