WWE presented the first day of the Superstar Shake-up 2019 when RAW came live on April 15. We expected the world of WWE to turn upside-down - it did to an extent.

The company has had an injury crisis recently, with injuries to many big superstars. Moreover, megastars have threatened to leave the company. However, WWE has an awesome talent pool. Especially due to NXT and 205 Live, WWE is never short of backup options.

While the episode of RAW was nothing we'd refer to as explosive, it had its moments. The top picks for RAW may have been predictable, but WWE made some smart choices. Some correct moves happened, while the company refrained from drafts that'd not have been as smart.

Though there could be more drafts on WWE's website, we can be certain now which of the top SmackDown stars will not move to RAW.

In this article, we present 4 decisions that WWE got absolutely right in the Superstar Shake-up on WWE RAW.

#4 Jimmy and Jey Uso (The Usos) move to RAW

After defending their tag team titles in a Fatal-4-Way match at WrestleMania 35, The Usos lost their SmackDown Tag Team Championship to The Hardy Boyz on the last episode of SmackDown.

It was a surprising decision to have the tag team lose their titles 2 nights after their solid defense on the Show of Shows.

However, the decision seemed to have been made keeping the Superstar Shake-up in mind. And we expected The Usos may move to RAW to help rejuvenate the red brand's tag division. They certainly did. It was the right move to draft Jimmy and Jey Uso to RAW.

The brothers have done everything that's possible to do for a tag team on the blue brand. Along with New Day, they have stolen many shows and kept the flag soaring high for tag team wrestling.

It's about time they crossed over to help in increasing the depth of the red brand. Now, they have a job on their hands, possibly trying to revive tag team wrestling on RAW along with the likes of The Revival.

#3 Randy Orton stays on the blue brand

Randy Orton has been away from the spotlight over the past year. Orton's appearances have been limited. His role has often only been to deliver surprise RKOs to random wrestlers. In his last feud, he fought AJ Styles at WrestleMania 35 and took a clean loss against the Phenomenal One.

There's no doubt that Orton is a megastar, but he has been rather gracious and generous in putting over talent. Essentially, it's why Orton needed to stay on SmackDown. Thankfully, WWE thought the same.

The likes of Owens and Ali stayed on SmackDown. And we already know there'd be more young stars coming to the blue brand on Tuesday night. Someone with the experience and fame of Orton could go a long way in establishing some of these young talented wrestlers.

Hence, WWE was absolutely right in keeping Randy Orton on the blue brand.

#2 New Day didn't split

Thankfully, we didn't see Xavier Woods on RAW. Thankfully!

New Day is the most over trio in the business at the moment. They have become one of the rare squads where a member has become a World Champion without breaking up from the team. It's a rare thing. Even for the Shield, the world championship wins for all the members came after the split.

However, things have become uncertain for the trio recently. With Kofi Kingston in the middle of a great singles push, and Big E suffering from a knee injury, we'd started to wonder if WWE would split the New Day.

New Day is one squad WWE couldn't have afforded to split. These guys are a team we needed together. It was a case of either all three of them moving to RAW or all three staying on the SmackDown brand. Since Kingston is the WWE Champion, New Day just had to stay on SmackDown.

Also, The Usos moved to the red brand. In that case, having New Day working Tuesday nights was even more vital for the brand's tag division. And WWE nailed it.

#1 AJ Styles to RAW

AJ Styles just had to move to RAW. Do we need to tell you why? Styles has been the soul of SmackDown LIVE ever since the brand split. All the while, he has been referring to SmackDown as the house that AJ Styles built.

Well, he is not wrong. On SmackDown, he had held the WWE Championship for over a year. Also, he defeated Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35 to establish the fact that he has been the face that has been crucial to the blue brand's cause.

Now, it's the right time for AJ Styles to say 'bye' to the blue brand. He's faced and beaten every top star there. Moreover, SmackDown has deserving people waiting to be in the main event, while RAW needed more depth and star power.

A move to RAW will not only freshen-up AJ Styles, but it'll also give him a chance to become a bigger star. As a bonus, the move will open the door for a dream AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins feud down the line.
