Naomi has been a cornerstone in SmackDown’s women’s roster for some time, but recently she has seen a number of questionable bookings and hardships come her way.
The two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion had been very prominent in 2017, but her stocks began to fall come 2018 and now she is nowhere to be seen as she is dealing with some personal problems.
The company has been focused on giving the spotlight to a handful of Superstars at this point, and build another batch for the future, and it seems like Naomi isn’t part of their plans for now.
This could prompt the company to send her back to NXT, as she never really had a long run on the brand before coming to the main roster. Since NXT is much more developed and refined since the last time she was there, it could not only help the brand get more ratings but also help Naomi get more experience and attention.
No matter which direction the company is looking at currently, there is no doubt that Naomi is one of the few women who can define the women’s wrestling scene for years to come.
NXT is currently under the control of the villainous faction led by Shayna Baszler, and someone like Naomi could mobilize a team of her own to take them down and bring a revolution to the brand.
