4 feuds WWE should invest in after Extreme Rules

WWE has managed to come up with a reasonably good card for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view which will take place this Sunday.

While the card is loaded with a number of tag team matches, it is odd that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will, once again, not be defended at the event. The disappearance of the belts and the champions have surely led to the value of the championship get affected massively.

Other than that, we are excited to see how well the match between Aleister Black and Cesaro will play out, and how much destruction Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley will cause.

Check out the 4 surprises WWE could pull off at Extreme Rules!

Apart from that, all eyes will be on The Undertaker who will team up with Roman Reigns in an attempt to cover up his ordinary match against Goldberg in Saudi Arabia a couple of months ago.

Keeping all that in mind, we have come up with four feuds which WWE should focus on following Extreme Rules as they try to build the Superstars involved in the event and those returning to competition.

#4 Lacey Evans & Charlotte Flair

Lacey Evans has had a great time at the top of Raw’s Women’s Division so early in her career, but it seems like her fairytale run will be coming to an end very soon.

While Evans has been given her last chance to win the Raw Women’s Championship, Charlotte has been away from television for over a month and will be looking to make a comeback soon.

Keeping that in mind, there is no better competitor who could help Charlotte get back to getting title matches again that the woman who has been on the top for some months.

Even though there are many deserving women in the women’s roster who should be given the push and a shot at the championship, we know that WWE will keep Charlotte in the mix for the top titles on both the brands for the rest of the year.

#3 Seth Rollins & Bobby Lashley

Seth Rollins will be defending his title at Extreme Rules against Baron Corbin in a mixed tag team match, while Bobby Lashley will be defending his pride against Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing match.

While these two men have crossed paths a few times over the past year, Lashley seems to have become a better and more refined version of himself now than he was previously. This could result in him getting a few more top chances going down the line.

While we are not looking to crown Bobby Lashley the Universal Champion just yet, he could prove to be a good filler opponent once Baron Corbin’s chances are exhausted. Another great thing that could come out of Seth and Bobby’s rivalry is that the threat of Brock Lesnar cashing in during a match between them would feel even more exciting.

Who knows, maybe it and angle during this rivalry could even lead to a rivalry between Lesnar and Lashley down the line heading into Royal Rumble or WrestleMania next year.

#2 Aleister Black & Randy Orton

Who will knock on Black's door next?
Who will knock on Black's door next?

Aleister Black has found a great opponent in Cesaro as he finally makes his return to main roster. The creatives have done something right by putting these two men together and giving them a kickoff at a pay-per-view event where both will have a chance to shine.

While Cesaro is one of the best wrestlers in the business today, Black will most probably come out on top in his return match as he has become the “come get me” guy in the company.

With that said, Black would want to make a name for himself as the top mid-card wrestler on SmackDown before he can move any forward. Cesaro, on the other hand, is playing a similar role in this feud as Samoa Joe has for many other top face superstars.

Following their feud, Black should immediately move on to a rivalry with Randy Orton if WWE wants to give him momentum and make him a top act in the company in the coming year.

Since Randy Orton is the top villain on the blue brand, Black’s involvement with him will surely give us some stellar matches and a new top babyface.

#1 Authors of Pain & The Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders could meet their match in the Authors of Pain

Authors of Pain (AoP) emerged as the powerhouse tag team on Raw which could take down any opponent. Unfortunately for them, Akam’s knee surgery has kept them out of action together since the beginning of the year.

With the arrival of the even more dominant The Viking Raiders, fans seem to have shifted their focus from AoP to the new duo who are currently busy tearing up makeshift tag teams to keep themselves busy.

While the top Raw’s tag team division is currently busy dealing with a feud between The Revival and The Usos, AoP and The Viking Raiders can start a rivalry at the middle of the division to spice things up.

Similar to what Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley are currently trying to do, these two teams have the talent and power to bring the house down while keeping the fans interested. A battle between the two heavyweight teams over a period of time can keep them busy and also keep the two teams in the title picture to compete with whichever team is the champion in coming months.
