Xavier Woods was part of Crown Jewel last year, but he didn't compete in the ring. The New Day faced off against The Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team titles, as Sheamus and Cesaro retained the twin belts against Kofi Kingston and Big E.

The New Day will participate in the Tag Team Turmoil match at Crown Jewel this year, against eight other tag teams of RAW and SmackDown, and the winner of the match will be rewarded with the World Cup. While Kofi Kingston and Big E will represent The New Day at Crown Jewel, Xavier Woods will not travel to Saudi Arabia this year, after suffering an injury.

Last week, Xavier Woods reportedly picked up an injury at a house show in Sydney, which will keep him away from the ring for a while. In the absence of Woods, it will be interesting to see if Kofi and Big E remain a tag team. Given Kofi's momentum as a singles star after the WWE Championship reign, it will not be a surprise if he turns on Big E, starting a new feud.
