#2 The Intercontinental Championship might not be on the line at Super ShowDown

A number of major titles will be defended at Super ShowDown, including the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. Moreover, the SmackDown Tag Team Titles and the RAW Tag Team Titles will be on the line as well. Even though it was the final SmackDown before Super ShowDown, WWE didn't announce the Intercontinental Championship match.

Braun Strowman, the Intercontinental Champion, teamed up with Elias this week, competing in the Symphony of Destruction Falls Count Anywhere match. They wrestled with Nakamura and Cesaro. It was certainly the best match of the night, and the team of Strowman and Elias picked up the victory.

While the fans were expecting an announcement for the Intercontinental Championship match at Super ShowDown, it didn't happen.

When Nakamura was the Intercontinental Champion, the belt wasn't defended in the past few pay-per-views, including Royal Rumble. As a matter of fact, the belt changed hands on an episode of SmackDown, when Strowman pinned Nakamura. Although WWE could make a last-minute announcement, it is unlikely to happen.
