#2 Baron Corbin

Two years ago, Baron Corbin was on the rise as a member of SmackDown Live. He was picked to win the match and appeared to be on to bigger and better things. Jinder Mahal was the current WWE Champion and some weren't sure if Corbin would cash in on another heel.

His time came, but he lost his cash-in in embarrassing fashion after getting rolled up by Mahal. He was still treated like one of the main heels on SmackDown and later Raw, but something just hasn't clicked. The fans dislike him, but it isn't because he's a great heel.

And currently on Raw without Brock Lesnar lording over the title scene, Corbin, McIntyre and Bobby Lashley have been positioned as the top heels of the show. Lashley is physical and believable and McIntyre is just a title run away from establishing himself as a bonafide star in WWE.

Corbin already had his chance and him winning another briefcase would only upset the fans. While it would be another good way to get heat on him, someone like Cesaro would have been a better choice in the match. They 'blamed' the ratings drop at the end of 2018 on Corbin, so what would happen if he won another briefcase AND became Universal Champion?
