Despite being knocked out of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge in the first round by Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch returned to the competition at the semi-final stage to team up with Bobby Roode.

Why? Because Roode’s partner throughout the tournament, Charlotte Flair, required dental surgery during the week of the semi-final match against Monday Night Raw duo Finn Balor & Sasha Banks, so Lynch stepped in to help out her friend.

It looked as though the popular duo of Balor & Banks would pick up the victory and go on to reach the final, but Lynch surprisingly rolled up “The Boss” to earn the win for her team in a 13-minute match.

“The Irish Lass Kicker” then gave her Mixed Match Challenge place back to the returning Flair, who teamed with Roode in a losing effort against The Miz & Asuka in the final.
