The Royal Rumble pay-per-view has finally happened. We saw a lot of things on the show, and there is no doubt some shocked the fans.

This is one of the most amazing PPVs of the WWE, and this is why the company tried to make it memorable. In the event, we saw different avatars of WWE Superstars, and this included Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Finn Balor.

There were many moments that made the fans happy, but some of them however, possibly made the fans disappointed. In this article, we take a look at 4 such moments.

#4 Shinsuke Nakamura wins the United States Championship

Shinsuke Nakamura won last year's men's Royal Rumble match by eliminating Roman Reigns. He then decided to face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. However, he didn't win the championship, and also turned heel at Mania.

Since then, his career became stale, and even though he won the US Championship at Extreme Rules, WWE failed to revive his career.

The company started to use him less frequently on SmackDown, and recently he lost his championship against Rusev. However, at the Royal Rumble, he again won the title. WWE has already hurt the title a lot under his reign, and it's a questionable decision making him champion again.

#3 Nia Jax enters at #30

I just want to ask one thing, what's wrong with the WWE?

I mean, they already did a lot of weird things in the past, but this time they crossed the limits.

Nia Jax is a female, and we know she can't participate in the men's Royal Rumble match, but she did exactly this!

She attacked the number 30 entrant, R-truth, before he could enter the match and then eliminated a superstar like Mustafa Ali from the Royal Rumble match.

After that, Mysterio, Orton, and Ziggler attacked and eliminated her. Nobody would have thought that something like this could even happen at the Royal Rumble PPV, as the WWE stopped doing inter-gender matches a long time ago.

It wouldn't be wrong to say this was the worst thing to happen on the show.

#2 AJ Styles losing against Daniel Bryan

AJ Styles lost his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan on the SmackDown Live before Survivor Series. It was a shocking moment for the WWE Universe, as Bryan turned heel against Styles after being the most prominent face of the company.

So far, his reign as the WWE Champion isn't looking good, as he arguably hasn't done anything right. In the past few weeks, the WWE tried to engage fans in this rivalry by doing exciting things, but their attempts failed.

At Royal Rumble, Styles lost his match against Bryan after interference from Erick Rowan who had been out for months due to injury. We have seen a lot of Styles matches end controversially, but now it needs to stop.

#1 Finn Balor tapped out

Finn Balor was the underdog in his Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar. However, what happened in the past few weeks made us believe that things could change at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

When the match happened, Balor shocked everybody by showing his aggressive side against Lesnar. The exciting part is that he was not in his Demon King persona.

Balor came close to defeating Brock Lesnar, but as always, the Beast retained his title easily. The match ended when Balor tried to pin Lesnar but then tapped out to the kimura lock.

A majority of fans already knew that Lesnar was going to win at the Royal Rumble, but the way this match ended was not good. It should have lasted longer, and even though Balor would have lost eventually, it wouldn't have hurt him this much.
