In 2016, he lost the US Title to John Cena and since then, he has lost himself in WWE. His Rusev day gimmick has become very famous amongst the fans and his pairing with Aiden English has become a blockbuster.
If Rusev wins the Battle Royal, then he can get a major character push which can lead to him winning more championships in future. He won his last championship two years back in Extreme Rules.
