4 reasons why Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will win at Clash of Champions

The most awaited match on this Sunday.

On the WWE SmackDown Live’s go-home show, Daniel Bryan announced that he would be the second referee in the tag team match where the team of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will square off against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.

This has added spice to an already exciting wrestling recipe where Owens and Zayn have their careers on the line.

However, there are four reasons which strongly suggest that the team of Owens and Zayn will come out victorious in this career threatening match.

#1 Too talented to be fired

The duo pulled out the 'Yep' movement last Tuesday.

Let’s accept it. WWE can’t afford to lose these two solid performers, that too ahead to the Royal Rumble. Daniel Bryan has himself accepted that both these individuals are extremely talented.

Despite their self-centred behaviour, they add gravitas to the Tuesday night roster. At the worst, they could lose the match to appear back on WWE in a couple of weeks time.

#2 Catalysts to set Daniel Bryan vs. Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34

This is one match fans across the globe would love to see. Daniel Bryan has not competed in the ring for almost four years, and nowhere else would be a better place for his return than the 34th edition of the “Showcase of Immortals.”

We have already discussed reasons why Daniel Bryan vs. Shane McMahon makes perfect sense at WrestleMania 34. It seems the WWE Universe is falling just in place to let the WWE Universe see what they want.

#3 The friendship of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

The Bromance.
The Bromance

These two individuals are friends, neither a faction nor a tag team. And friendship grows deep in the darkest hours of survival, which they will face come Sunday.

In the last couple of weeks, we have notably observed this friendship to flourish. Good friendships have always produced great storylines for WWE; Triple H-Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit-Eddie Guerrero, Batista-Rey Mysterio, just to name a few.

I am sure WWE would love to capitalise on this angle. The duo is already pushed to a point (as heels) from where they can be safely transitioned to babyfaces.

#4 Career threatning match?

Stakes are always high for a career threatening match.
Stakes are always high for a career-threatening match

We believe it’s too early for Owens-Zayn to be part of a career-threatening match. Notably, the length of their combined career spans in WWE is less than a decade.

We have seen career threatening matches in the past either when a Superstar has made up his mind to hang up his boots or both adversaries have achieved greatness in the WWE. There is a lot to be achieved by these two talented Superstars before they put it all on the line.

Hence, it is safe to say that on next Tuesday, these two Superstars will be on SmackDown Live.
