On the May 30th, 2016 edition of Raw, John Cena made his long-awaited return from a major shoulder injury and was almost immediately confronted by "The Phenomenal One".
The dream match was set for Money in the Bank. "The Phenomenal One" had an answer for "Super Cena" at every turn.
With plenty of near falls and fast action, John Cena and AJ Styles' first encounter together was pretty solid. Even though "The Phenomenal One" needed assistance from The Club to win, it was the best match of the night.

#2 John Cena vs AJ Styles — SummerSlam 2016
After AJ Styles challenged John Cena to another match at SummerSlam to prove that he could defeat "The Face That Runs the Place" by himself without assistance, John Cena boldly accepted AJ Styles' SummerSlam challenge.
After a back and forth match and a super Attitude Adjustment, "The Phenomenal One" dug down deep to kick out right before the three count and execute a Styles Clash with a Phenomenal Forearm to pin John Cena at SummerSlam 2016.
John Cena and AJ Styles' war at SummerSlam 2016 is regarded as one of the best SummerSlam matches of all time; it also deserved to go on last.
"The Phenomenal One" and " The Leader of the Cenation" took it a few steps further in their sequel at SummerSlam; no one could touch this match on August 21, 2016, at the Barclays Center

#3 John Cena vs AJ Styles — Royal Rumble 2017 for the WWE Championship
Most WWE fans probably thought that John Cena and AJ Styles would never be able to top their epic SummerSlam scorcher, but " Big Match John" and "The Phenomenal One" lived up to their nicknames once again and put the word "Royal" in "Royal Rumble".
Both Cena and Styles provided the audience and everyone at home watching what a masterpiece is supposed to resemble. "The Champ" and "Then Phenomenal One" resembled a masterpiece inside a squared circle with a twenty-four-minute thriller.
It took John Cena a super Attitude Adjustment and three additional Attitude Adjustments to dethrone AJ Styles and obtain his sixteenth WWE World Championship, tying Ric Flair for the most World Championship reigns in WWE history.
Once again, no match could topple a John Cena vs AJ Styles encounter. This match was an absolute classic.

John Cena and AJ Styles' storied rivalry was a dream come true to many wrestling fans, "Mr TNA" vs "The Face of WWE".
"The Champ" and "The Phenomenal One" showed amazing chemistry with one another from the beginning, all the way to the conclusion of their classic rivalry.
John Cena and AJ Styles' first encounter was great; their second encounter is one of the best SummerSlam matches in WWE history, and their final chapter at the Royal Rumble 2017 is a WWE classic.
"The Face of WWE" and "The Phenomenal One" have had one of the best trilogies in WWE history, we wonder if we'll see another John Cena vs AJ Styles rivalry at some point in the future.
