With the brand switch of Superstars like Bayley and Ember Moon to SmackDown, RAW's women's division was looking very shallow. Becky Lynch's last two feuds with Lacey Evans and Natalya were a clear indication that the Red Brand is missing a Superstar who could give some solid competition to The Man.
She was way more popular than the Canadian native Natalya in her home country, and even the fans knew there was no way she was losing the title at SummerSlam. How does WWE give us a RAW Women's title match that can make us think that Becky might lose it? Enter, Sasha Banks!
Before the Irish Lasskicker turned into this avatar, it was Sasha who was considered a bigger superstar than her. And even today, if you take a look at the women's roster of RAW, she seems to be the only superstar with enough credibility to take the title off Becky.
#2 Becky's title reign hasn't been very exciting
Becky Lynch was the hottest thing going into WrestleMania earlier this year. Her rebellious character was ruling the hearts of the fans who were deeply invested in every small thing that she did. Unfortunately, the same hasn't been the case with her title reign so far.
While she's not the one to blame, maybe it's time for a change in the dynamics. Banks vs Lynch has all the ingredients of a blockbuster feud and losing the title here won't hurt Lynch's credibility. The two can stretch their feud for multiple PPVs, with a decider finally taking place inside Hell in a Cell.
We've seen previously what these women can do when left inside a vicious structure, and that could certainly bring back the somewhat lost aggression in the women's division.
