The Superstar Shakeup last year sent Cass to SmackDown Live. He immediately began feuding with the white-hot Daniel Bryan, who had just come out of a supposed career-ending injury. This is where Cass' star began to fade, as WWE fed him to Bryan on two successive PPVs. Cass submitted to the Yes Lock at Backlash, and suffered the exact same fate at the Money In The Bank PPV.
His match against Bryan at Money In The Bank was the last time he wrestled in WWE. Cass was released by WWE on June 19th. According to several reports, Cass was released due to behavioral issues. The Shakeup didn't do any favors to Cass and a promising WWE career was unfortunately cut short.

He has interviewed prominent pro wrestling personalities like Noam Dar, Angry Miz Girl, Brendan Cobbina, and Jesse Lambert. Abhilash is a big fan of AEW star Orange Cassidy, as he believes the former International Champion’s on-screen gimmick of an extremely lazy guy resonates with him.
Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
