While hard work, talent and luck are very important in every WWE Superstar's career, the most important thing a Superstar needs in order to succeed is Vince McMahon's stamp of approval.

The fans can cheer or boo whomever they want, but unless the Chairman is a fan of a particular Superstar, the chances of that person getting pushed in WWE are very low. So, let us take a look at which Superstars Vince McMahon is currently keen on and which Superstars he isn't a fan of.

Also, do let us know in the comments section if you agree with Vince's choices of Superstars who should be pushed.

Wants to push: Rusev

As reported earlier as well, Vince is mighty pleased with the ongoing angle between Rusev, Lana and Bobby Lashley. While the story is being considered edgy and cringeworthy, the Chairman seems really enjoy watching it unfold and also believes that people will keep tuning in to see where the story heads.

A WWE source told WrestlingNews.co:

Vince loves everything about this story, The numbers are above average for these segments so they will do them until people stop caring.
I was told that McMahon sees this storyline the way people would look over to see a car wreck. The storyline might make you cringe but you will keep watching…at least that is how McMahon feels. He also looks at the numbers for these segments and feels that Lana is generating real heel heat and not “go away” heat. Rusev has been getting praise backstage for the work he’s been doing.

It was also reported that the management is particularly impressed with Rusev, and the Bulgarian Brute has been getting major praise backstage. With Rusev's contract coming to an end, WWE will ensure that the former US Champion gets a major push so that he re-signs with the company.

Unhappy with: Cedric Alexander

Former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander may have run out of favour with the top boss as per the latest reports from Wrestlingnews.co.

Even though Alexander had made a major mark on Monday Night RAW when he had first arrived, it looks like The Chairman is no longer interested in pushing the well-liked Superstar anymore.

Wrestlingnews.co has reported that even though Alexander is liked backstage, Vince McMahon has reportedly given up on him and a 'burial' can be expected going forward.

Everything I’ve heard about him is that he is well-liked backstage and I have not heard of anything that he might have done to rub people the wrong way so it looks like McMahon simply cooled off on him.

From competing against former US Champion AJ Styles on a weekly basis to jobbing to Mojo Rawley on Main Event, it is clear that not much should be expected for Cedric Alexander's future prospects in the near future.

Wants to push: Matt Riddle

The Original Bro Matt Riddle seems to have struck a chord with Vince McMahon, as the Chairman is reportedly very high on Riddle. The NXT Superstar made news when he kept calling out Goldberg on social media. While this behaviour of his was looked down upon by many, Vince believes Riddle reminds him of a young Shawn Michaels.

Vince like guys like Shawn who have that rebel mentality and he sees some of Shawn in Matt. Matt can rub some people the wrong way but he’s a good guy and he will do great when Vince calls him up. I think he’s a future world champion. Vince will try to tweak him but his personality will get him far.

Unhappy with: Seth Rollins

It was reported by Wrestling Observer that Vince McMahon was apparently furious with Rollins backstage when the former WWE Champion addressed the CM Punk chants during his 'town hall' promo on RAW a couple of weeks back.

Here is what Seth Rollins had said:

I tried to get [Punk] here, I'm sorry. He didn't wanna show up. He wants to sit behind a desk in Los Angeles and talk about a change that he's too afraid to make himself."

Unhappy With: Dio Maddin

Former RAW commentator Dio Maddin has been out of action ever since Brock Lesnar F5'd him through the announce table on RAW. While it was initially believed that Maddin is out selling Lesnar's assault, new reports suggest there are no plans to bring him back as a commentator and Samoa Joe will be replacing him for now.

Bryan Alvarez of WOL revealed that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were not huge fans of Maddin's work:

I don’t know if Dio Maddin himself is gonna get mad but I’m sure we’ll hear that this is not accurate but this is what happened. Vince and Kevin Dunn didn’t like Dio Maddin on commentary and they took him off commentary and I think they were gonna try to re-train him or whatever to do commentary but now I guess he’s decided he wants to be a wrestler again.

It is being reported that Maddin wants to re-join the roster as an in-ring competitor instead of an announcer. Maddin also tweeted out a warning to Brock Lesnar saying that he seeks to retire The Beast Incarnate.

Unhappy with: Humberto Carrillo

Another former 205 Live Superstar who seems to have fallen out of favour with Mr. McMahon is the Mexican sensation, Humberto Carrillo. Much like Cedric Alexander, Carrillo was pushed right off the bat after joining RAW, not giving him much time to strike a chord with the RAW audience.

This may have worked against the young Superstar as Vince McMahon believes that Carrillo has not been able to get himself over. As a result, he wants to end his push, as revealed by Bryan Alvarez of WOL.

Vince is done with Humberto Carrillo for the time being. He’s given him the Cedric Alexander, where you’re still going to see him on TV, I’m sure he’s going to win here and there but like it’s exactly like Cedric Alexander. He got a few weeks, Vince thought he wasn’t getting over and so, he’s done with that big push.

Wants to push: Keith Lee

Vince McMahon is reportedly very impressed with NXT Superstar Keith Lee and believes that he can be a great powerhouse heel whenever he gets called to the main roster.

Lee is very well-liked backstage and it is believed that he has a high chance to succeed on RAW or SmackDown due to his size.
