Last week on WWE RAW, The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, collided with the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre, in a singles match. The match ended in a disqualification due to Baron Corbin's interference.
Corbin and McIntyre ganged up on Strowman and took out the former RAW tag team champion despite Strowman's best efforts to gain the upper hand. In the end, the heels choke-slammed Braun Strowman over the steel steps to stand tall.
It will be interesting to see how WWE books this storyline going forward but expect Strowman to find some back-up for himself this week on RAW. Here are the superstars who can join forces with Braun Strowman to level the odds against Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin:
#4 Apollo Crews
Apollo Crews won a fresh start battle royale on the last RAW episode of 2018 to earn an Intercontinental Championship match. Though he did not capture the gold, it seemed like we would finally see him rise in the mid-card. But, the same old story repeated once again as Crews received no character development on RAW.
This could change this week as Apollo Crews can be used as Braun Strowman's new partner on WWE TV. WWE can even portray this team as a dysfunctional one given how much Braun Strowman believes in his strength and power.
This would not only give Apollo Crews some much-needed TV time but would also invest him in a storyline. It has been a long time since we saw Crews be a part of any feud or rivalry.
He is a very athletic superstar who can perform amazing moves in the ring and it is a shame that he has not been utilized to his talent in WWE.
#3 Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt made his in-ring return at WWE Starrcade, where he defeated the then RAW General Manager Baron Corbin in a singles match. The WWE Universe expected the Eater of the Worlds to return to RAW, however, many weeks have passed yet there has been no sign of his return.
It seems like WWE's creative team is waiting for the perfect time to book his return, and at the moment, the Braun Strowman situation looks to be the best one to bring Wyatt back on RAW.
Wyatt was the man who had brought Strowman to WWE and everyone knows the history the two superstars share. So, it would make sense if Wyatt returns to save his former ally from the attacks of McIntyre and Corbin.
Also, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman can be used as a tag team in the floundering RAW tag team division.
#2 Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler made his return in the 2019 Royal Rumble match and eliminated Drew McIntyre from that match. The status of Ziggler's WWE contract is unknown, but at the moment, he is still with Vince McMahon's promotion and can make appearances for the company.
We all know Ziggler got the upper hand against Drew McIntyre last Sunday so, if WWE wants the Scottish Psychopath to get revenge, then they should bring Dolph Ziggler back as an ally of Braun Strowman.
Ziggler is a veteran who knows how to put over upcoming superstars. His addition in this feud would draw more attention towards this rivalry.
All 4 superstars can have memorable tag team matches on RAW and give the red brand's upper mid-card some solidity. This could also become the top feud of RAW in absence of the Universal Championship feud for the upcoming PPVs.
#1 Kurt Angle
On the last episode of RAW, Kurt Angle lost a singles match to Baron Corbin before the Lone Wolf interfered in the Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre match. I expected the Olympic gold medalist to come out and try to save Strowman from the heel duo's attacks. However, Angle did not come out as McIntyre and Corbin stood tall to end the segment.
Kurt Angle has had issues with Baron Corbin, and thus, he can join Strowman's side to get a chance to avenge his defeat to Corbin on RAW. This would be the best option as WWE can integrate two storylines (Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre and Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin) into one.
The WWE Universe would enjoy the backstage segments of the team of Strowman and Angle given how gifted both superstars are on the mic.
