Joining the RAW roster as part of the 2016 Brand Extension, Finn Bálor was the first superstar to be called up from NXT as part of the draft.

In NXT, Bálor is considered as one of the yellow brand's biggest stars ever, holding the record for longest NXT championship reign, at 295 days.

Leaving the brand in 2016, Bálor made a huge first impression, becoming the inaugural Universal Champion, defeating former WWE Champion Seth Rollins to win.

Sadly, he would later be forced to forfeit the title a day later due to injury.

Returning last year, Bálor has impressed on RAW but is yet to capture a title on the show since his return.

He did compete for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania this year but came up short against Rollins this time.

Winning the IC title could not only give a new dimension to Bálor but also elevate the title, by having it held by a former top-champion.

Also, given the history between the Demon and the Architect, the two could carve out a great feud, if Rollins returns to take his title back from the Demon King.
