Alexa Bliss won her first SmackDown Women's title by defeating Becky Lynch in a tables' match at WWE TLC in 2016. She lost the title to Naomi at the Elimination Chamber PPV in 2017, but regained her belt on a SmackDown episode, just to lose it at WrestleMania 33.

Bliss moved to Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania, and took just a month to win the RAW Women's title from Bayley. She also became the first woman to cash in her Money in the Bank contract on the same night after winning it when she did so at the MITB PPV in 2018.
