Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is currently under federal investigation following a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant earlier this year, which accuses him of sexual assault and trafficking. McMahon left WWE after the lawsuit came to light. Now, reports suggest he may be looking to start a new venture.
According to a recent report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, McMahon is working on establishing a new company, which is being described as an "entertainment hub company." This new venture is expected to develop and produce film and television content.
Here are four essential details you need to know about Vince McMahon’s rumored new company.
#4. Will this new company produce any wrestling content?
Since news broke that Vince McMahon is starting a new company, many fans have wondered if it will produce any wrestling content.
However, reports indicate that most people close to the situation believe the new company will not create anything similar to WWE. Instead, it’s expected to focus on fiction and non-fiction projects.
#3. Where will the company be based?
Vince McMahon primarily resides in his large mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut. However, it appears that his rumored new company won’t be based there. Reports suggest that the firm will be headquartered in Los Angeles if it launches.
This makes sense as LA has long been the epicenter of the entertainment industry and is an ideal location. Additionally, the city’s vast talent pool and world-class production facilities will likely be key factors behind this decision if the company intends to produce fiction and non-fiction content.
#2. Several WWE Alumni are reportedly working on the project
According to the report from PWInsider, Vince McMahon has considerable support for his new project. Several WWE alums are reportedly working with McMahon to prepare the company, with plans to officially unveil it if and when his legal issues are resolved.
Brad Blum, WWE's former Chief Operating Officer, is confirmed to be closely involved with the project. Blum was identified as “Corporate Officer No. 2” in the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against McMahon and WWE in January and resigned from the Stamford-based company in May 2024.
Kristin Prouty, former WWE Senior Vice President of Entertainment Relations, who was the company’s liaison to Hollywood before her departure earlier this year, is also on board. She is widely credited with facilitating Logan Paul’s signing with WWE a few years ago.
#1. Will Kevin Dunn reunite with Vince McMahon?
Kevin Dunn served as WWE Executive Producer for several years. He has had a close working relationship with Vince McMahon since joining the company in 1984.
He left WWE in late 2023. With recent rumors of McMahon starting a new company, many speculated that Kevin Dunn might join his new venture as Head of Production, given their longstanding relationship.
However, reports indicate that Dunn has not been involved in this rumored new company so far.
