4 things that could happen at Fastlane 2019

WWE Fastlane is just one week away.
WWE Fastlane is just one week away.

Scheduled for March 10, WWE Fastlane 2019 is just one week away. With WrestleMania 35 scheduled for April 7, this will be the last stop before the Grandest Stage of them all.

WWE Fastlane has always been projected as a mere filler before the Show of Shows and its prime objective is to build up and hype WrestleMania.

However, the case is a bit different this time around as the recent turn of events has left WWE Universe waiting eagerly for March 10.

Yes, be it the Big Dog's return or Kofi Kingston being replaced by Kevin Owens in the WWE Championship match against Daniel Bryan, the recent turn of events has well and truly hyped WWE Fastlane.

Well, WWE has already announced some high voltage clashes for the pay-per-view, however, expect the company to add a few more (The Shield and Braun Strowman vs Corbin, McIntyre, Lashley and Elias in an epic 4-on-4 clash and Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair) mouthwatering bouts in the upcoming week.

While the match card features a plethora of high profile names of the company, the pay-per-view looks predictable for the most part. However, WWE might drop a few surprise bombs here and there.

Nonetheless, here's presenting 4 huge predictions for Fastlane 2019.

#4 Sasha Banks and Bayley retain their titles against Nia Jax and Tamina

The Boss N' Hug Connection
The Boss N' Hug Connection

The duo of Sasha Banks and Bayley are scheduled to defend their Raw's Women tag team titles against the team of Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka. And, if there is not any change of plans at the eleventh hour, expect the Champion duo to retain their titles.

Well, WWE teased a potential tag team match between Boss N' Hug Connection vs Lita and Trish Stratus for WrestleMania 35. And, if things go as expected then the current Champions will retain their title on March 10 to clash with Lita and Stratus in a classic match at 'Mania 35.

#3 The Miz turns on Shane McMahon

It would be fascinating
It would be fascinating

The team of Shane McMahon and The Miz are all set to clash with The Usos for the SmackDown's tag team titles at Fastlane 2019. However, expect The Usos to retain their titles on March 10.

Yes, WWE could have The Miz turn on Shane McMahon to cost them the match. This would then also lay down the breadcrumbs for a Shane McMahon vs The Miz match for WrestleMania 35.

While WWE tried hard to push the uncanny partnership of Shane and The Miz, things did not turn out on expected terms as the duo failed to impress the fans. Also, the decision to turn Miz as a babyface fell flat on its face as his recent stint has been underwhelming.

Thus, a potential heel turn on March 10 for The Miz looks totally on the cards. This would not only conclude their partnership and the feud with The Usos but could also spice things up a bit if WWE books The Miz properly.

#2 WWE teases Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre for WrestleMania 35 in the classic 4-on-4 matchup

The Shield could be in action on March 10 at Fastlane.
The Shield could be in action on March 10 at Fastlane.

A classic 4-on-4 match between The Shield and Braun Strowman vs McIntyre, Corbin, Lashley and Elias has been rumoured for March 10. And even though WWE has not officially confirmed anything yet, they might do the honours this Monday Night on Raw.

While a win for the babyface team looks certain on March 10 (if the match happens), WWE might go on to tease a classic match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre for WrestleMania 35.

With Roman Reigns announcing his remission this week on Raw, the talks of a 'Mania match for the Big Dog has already started. On top of that, it seems WWE also doesn't have any major plans for McIntyre for April 7. Thus, Creative could bring both these high-profile names to put together a classic for WrestleMania 35.

On another note, it should be noted that John Cena has been off WWE TV since January due to the (scripted) injury caused at the hands of Drew McIntyre. Thus, WWE could also add Cena in the feud to make it a three-way match at The Show of Shows.

#1 Kevin Owens wins the Championship match via disqualification

Kevin Owens is unlikely to win the Championship at Fastlane.
Kevin Owens is unlikely to win the Championship at Fastlane.

Kevin Owens is all set to clash with Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Fastlane. However, The Prizefighter winning the championship on March 10 is highly unlikely.

Vince McMahon replaced Kofi Kingston in the championship match by Kevin Owens, two weeks ago on SmackDown Live. However, this move, as speculated by the WWE Universe, is only because WWE could be planning a triple threat matchup between Kofi, Bryan and Owens for 'Mania 35.

Thus, KO walking as the new champ on March 10 looks a bit distant as of now. However, WWE could have Eric Rowan and Daniel Bryan gang up on Owens only for Kingston to show up and make the save.

While this would hand over a win via disqualification to KO, it would also lay down the breadcrumbs for an epic triple threat match between Kofi, Bryan and Owens for WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.
