Top 4 performers in Men's Royal Rumble 2018

The Royal Rumble match was a very good match held in Philadelphia. The excitement of the crowd was tearing the roofs and the quality of the match was amazing. The crowd was on their foot for almost the entire run of the match. WWE knocked it out of the park with the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Few contestants were eliminated within seconds while some lasted long and elevated the quality of the match.

#4 John Cena

The two time Rumble match winner gave other competitors a tough competition

The crowd didn’t support Cena from the beginning but he ended up eliminating 3 people and remained till the last moments of the match. Despite having a good in-ring performance at the Royal Rumble, the crowd heavily booed Cena and Reigns. He entered the match at No.20 and he was the second last man to get eliminated from the match. He lasted for 28 minutes and 33 seconds. The two- time Rumble match winner, was eliminated by Shinsuke Nakamura after his struggle to maintain his balance on the apron. He was Jerry Lawler’s top pick and was one of the toughest contenders to participate in the match. This was his first appearance this year.

#3 Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns might challenge Lesner in WM34

Love him or hate him but you can’t ignore the fact that Roman eliminated 4 people from the Royal Rumble match. He lasted for 21 minutes and 28 seconds. He entered at No.28. He also shares the spot of eliminating the most number of people with Balor.

If Reigns won the Rumble match, it wouldn’t be surprising but unfortunately, he didn’t win. Having many Royal Rumble records in his bags, Reigns was one of the top contenders of the Rumble match. He lasted till the end but he was eliminated by Nakamura.

John Cena and Roman Reigns teamed up against Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura and dominated for a while. The Philly crowd was against Cena and Reigns right from the beginning and heavy boos were heard against Roman when he was left behind with Nakamura.

#2 Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke is going to face AJ Styles in WM34

Shinsuke Nakamura entered at No.14 and claimed his position in the Main Event of WrestleMania 34. He won the Rumble match after eliminating the ‘Big Dog’ Roman Reigns. He lasted for 44 minutes and 25 seconds. His duration is the second longest after Balor. He eliminated few of the big names of WWE.

His win has sent electricity coursing through the veins of Smackdown’s stagnant main event scene. Nakamura is not a redundant face as he has debuted last April and he is still fresh and unique amongst the fan base. Since his debut, Nakamura didn’t get a proper feud to work on and his talent was wasted. After this immense push, fans can expect a lot from him.

#1 Finn Balor

Finn Balor lost the match but won many hearts

Finn Balor entered the match at the No.2 position and remained till the last moments of the match. The leader of the ‘Balor Club’ lasted for astonishing 57 minutes and 30 seconds. He spent the longest time in the ring. He eliminated the most number of people (4 players) from the match and he was also a tough competitor.

He was one of the top picks to win the Rumble match. His determination and grit were appreciated and loud chants were heard in favor of Balor. Balor won many hearts by his performance and he has proved himself after having an underwhelming 2017. A fan favorite lost his opportunity to main event ‘WrestleMania’ after John Cena eliminated him after his long and tedious run in the Rumble Match.
