#4. Asuka should return from injury as a member of SmackDown.

SmackDown needs more big names for the women's division. The report from PWInisder mentioned that internally, Asuka is listed as a member of RAW. She has been a member of the red brand for the last two years.

Asuka took over as RAW Women's Champion in 2020 after Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy. Winning that year's Money in the Bank match afforded her the title when Lynch relinquished it.

Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.

While WWE.com lists her as a member of RAW, it did not list Brock Lesnar as a member of SmackDown as the report suggested. So with that, it's hard to know where undrafted stars actually belong.

Asuka was one of the Superstars that essentially carried WWE during the pandemic/no-crowd days. Her run with the title hit a speed bump when she lost it to SmackDown Superstar Sasha Banks in the summer of 2020. She would win it back and then drop the title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 37.

For a good part of 2021, Asuka feuded with Ripley and Flair. While it would be wise to keep the Empress of Tomorrow away from the Queen, SmackDown needs Asuka more than RAW.

RAW has a division full of depth with several women that could feasibly defeat Becky Lynch. Nia Jax, Ripley, Bianca Belair, and Alexa Bliss could all be the next RAW Women's Champion. Smackdown's list has less credible challengers.

Plus, Asuka has a history as the SmackDown Women's Champion, and if WWE decided to do it, they should pay her back with a win over Flair at WrestleMania. It could be with or without the title attached.

Simply put, Asuka is arguably the best female wrestler in WWE when healthy. SmackDown needs depth across the board, and Asuka could add to that depth if she rejoins the blue brand.
