Elimination Chamber 2019 will take place this Sunday on February 17, 2019. The Kickoff Show will start at 6 PM and will be live on a number of platforms including the WWE Network and WWE's Youtube Channel.
The Kickoff Show will feature a Cruiserweight Championship Match between Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy and the number one contender Akira Tozawa. The main show will stream live on the WWE Network, starting at 7 PM.
The match card includes a no disqualification match between Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin, a handicap match for the Intercontinental Championship match between Finn Balor and the team of Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush, a Raw Women's Championship match between Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and number one contender Ruby Riott, a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Miz & Shane McMahon and the number one contender the Usos, an Elimination Chamber tag team match for the inaugural Women's Tag Team Championship, and an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship.
#4. The WWE Championship main events a dual-branded pay per view for the first time in years
Daniel Bryan is set to defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles. Randy Orton is already confirmed to be the last competitor in this matchup. Out of all of the matches that are scheduled to take place at Elimination Chamber, only three of them have truly been booked as an important.
Finn Balor vs Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush, Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin, and Shane McMahon and the Miz vs the Usos are all filler. The only 3 matches that will truly affect WrestleMania are Ronda Rousey vs Ruby Riott for the Raw Women's Championship, the Elimination Chamber match for the inaugural women's tag team titles, and the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship.
Out of all of these 3 matches, the WWE Championship has the best chance of being a great match. Therefore, the WWE Title will likely finally main event a pay per view.
#3. Kevin Owens and/or Sami Zayn return
Since WWE has already burned through a potential WrestleMania feud between Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor (as that feud will likely end at Elimination Chamber or possibly Fastlane). Therefore, WWE should add some new blood to this feud. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have both been down with injuries since 2018.
Both of these injuries were also (storyline) caused by Bobby Lashley. Therefore, both of these men should definitely want to revenge on Bobby Lashley. Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush will likely defeat Finn Balor because this is Bobby Lashley's first ever title defense as Intercontinental Champion.
Afterward, they can try to attack him before Sami Zayn and/or Kevin Owens can make the save. While both superstars were great as heels, they can potentially be even better as faces. This can help to set up a Fatal 4 Way (or Fatal 5 Way) at WrestleMania 35.
#2. Becky Lynch attacks both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey with a steel chair
Ronda Rousey will almost certainly successfully defend the Raw Women's Championship against Ruby Riott. The match will definitely be a great match but what happens after the match is what will be most important.
Charlotte Flair has already announced that she will be sitting in the front row at Elimination Chamber. She will likely either instigate or attack Ronda Rousey after the match. There is no way that Becky Lynch will just watch this happen.
As the Queen puts Ronda Rousey in the Figure Eight, Becky Lynch comes out from the crowd with a chair and hits both Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch with the steel chair. The Man will then put Ronda Rousey in the Dis-Arm-Her and after that, she will put Charlotte Flair in the Dis-Arm-Her with the steel chair. Security will then come out and Becky Lynch will fight them off too before Charlotte Flair hits Becky Lynch with the chair and escapes.
#1. Nia Jax and Tamina win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
The Boss N' Hug Connection have been the favorites to win the Women's Tag Team Titles since before they were announced. Sasha Banks and Bayley have been given an underdog story so it only seems right if they are given the win in this matchup in a feel-good story.
With Nia Jax and Tamina and other teams like the IIconics, the Riott Squad, Fire and Desire, and Naomi & Carmella standing in their way, it definitely will not be easy for the two to do so.
However, it arguably would be a better storyline if Nia Jax and Tamina were to win the first ever women's tag team titles. This would then allow WWE to stretch Sasha Banks and Bayley's storyline all the way to WrestleMania 35 where they would finally win the titles.
