4 ways to book Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt going forward

The Deletors of Worlds

One of WWE's classic formulas to make a Superstar relevant again is by putting him in a tag team. Over the years, we have seen many "Randomized" Tag Teams. Where some of them, such as Cesaro and Sheamus, and The New Day have worked very well, many others have simply floundered.

The fresh pairing of arch nemesis-turned-friends Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt is another addition to this list of teams.

The similarity in their personas is something that can result in this experiment being a success. Here are 4 possible booking options for this team going forward:

#4 Next Tag Team Champions

New Champions?

The pairing of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt can seem an odd match to many; not just because of their eccentric personalities but also because they were essentially singles competitors and each other's rivals before they were paired up when Wyatt helped Matt win the 'Andre The Giant Battle Royal' at Wrestlemania.

The two have been teaming up since then and are scheduled to face The Bar at Greatest Royal Rumble for the vacant RAW Tag Team Championships. Since The Bar is on Smackdown now, it is highly unlikely that the duo will lose the match.

Matt and Bray will win the Tag Team Champions almost certainly, and with a strong Tag Team division that includes Authors of Pain, Ziggler and McIntyre, and Breezango on RAW following the Superstar Shakeup, it will be interesting to see if WWE books them as a strong team or has them lose the belts within a short time.

#3 Create a stable

Bo D
Bo Dallas to join his brother?

Matt and Bray have been calling themselves The Deleters of The World now, which in my opinion is hilarious. I wonder though how long this team will be able to keep up with their crazy antics before it becomes a drag and leads to not-so-funny segments due to becoming repetitive.

There is, however, one way to cure this impending problem: have more men join and create a faction.

There was speculation that Sanity from NXT might be joining Matt Hardy on their main roster debut, but given how that stable is headed to Smackdown, that might not be a possibility anymore.

Wyatt recently tweeted out an invitation to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel to join him and Matt in their Woken adventures; WWE should capitalize on this and have these two men, who have nothing much to do now because of The Miz heading off to Smackdown, join Wyatt and Hardy to form a dominant faction on RAW.

#2 Bray Wyatt breaks away as a singles star

Br
Bray Wyatt

The first thing that struck everyone when Wyatt joined Hardy was that this is probably just a placeholder arrangement for Bray Wyatt, to get him over before he breaks away to become a singles star again.

Wyatt was part of the Wyatt family for a major part of his career and even though he is a former WWE Champion, his career has failed to take off in the manner many would have expected it to.

It is only a matter of time before Wyatt splits from Matt and the most likely way of going about it would be having Bray Wyatt slowly but steadily becoming the focal point of the tag team, eventually ditching Matt Hardy to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with.

#1 Matt Hardy turns on Bray Wyatt

A
Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt

All those who had followed the journey of Broken Matt Hardy during his days in Impact Wrestling know what a great heel he was.

Although his character reached great heights of popularity, eventually turning him face, he was initially a heel and did a great job at that.

It would be very interesting if it is Matt Hardy who turns on Bray Wyatt and goes on to mirror the image of his Broken character from the earlier days where he was a maniacal and crazed man who would go to any length to creep out his opponent, instead of the laughing joker he has been turned into now by the WWE.

It would also provide a breath of fresh air for Wyatt, who has never been a face in his 4-year run with WWE (not counting the on-going storyline, that is).
