4 ways WWE can bring back Dean Ambrose

The Lunatic Fringe

Dean Ambrose has been on our screens every week since 2012 until he was injured late last year. He is without a doubt one of the hardest working talents in WWE.

A tricep injury has him out for 9 months. So, he won't be back anytime soon. During his time with the WWE, he has won almost every title WWE has to offer. He's a former US, Intercontinental, Tag Team and WWE Champion. He may add the Universal Championship to his resume if WWE book him in the main event scene.

Here are four ways WWE can bring back Ambrose to the ring whenever he is ready.

#4 A heel on SmackDown

Dean needs to be a heel, not a face

When Ambrose comes back from injury, he needs to be a heel. Being a major heel on SmackDown could do wonders for him. When he's a face, he is really stale. He hasn't been a heel since the early Shield days.

Dean will have plenty of great opponents for him to face. Just look back at his feud with AJ Styles. Their matches together were outstanding. Unless WWE change their minds, it seems like Shinsuke Nakamura will be walking out of WrestleMania as WWE Champion. A feud with 'The Lunatic Fringe' would be entertaining to watch.

The likes of Bobby Roode and Randy Orton pose great challenges for him. Mainly Roode, since Ambrose has faced Orton in the past. There are a lot of options and it should all happen as a heel, not as a face.

#3 Feud with Jason Jordan

A minor feud would be entertaining

This feud would be great if it were brief. Jordan took over for Ambrose after he was injured. The replacement role got Jordan the Tag titles with Seth Rollins, but also an injured neck. Now as far as we know, Jordan's neck injury isn't really that bad, so I'm sure he will be back at some point after WrestleMania.

Dean ending up jealous would be the focus of this story. He didn't like Jordan taking his place in the first place and didn't like how successful it was as well. This could be Ambrose as a face if WWE decide to keep him as one. I know WWE were pushing Jordan as a face, but it's hard to see the crowd on Jordan's side anytime soon.

#2 Continue the presumed story

Heel turn on Rollins?

As far as we know, the main reason the Shield got back together was for Ambrose to turn on Rollins at some point. WWE can continue with that angle. The two have a history and their matches did not disappoint. This time the roles would be reversed.

It would be disappointing if WWE didn't capitalize on this feud and give it the attention it deserves. Some considered this feud to be the next Cena/Orton. It could be that if WWE go through with it.

Injury has delayed this possible rivalry for right now, but if it does happen, it will be one of the highlights for RAW every week.

#1 Turning on Roman Reigns

'The Lunatic Fringe' vs 'The Big Dog'

Much like Ambrose turning on Rollins, put all that focus on turning on Roman Reigns. This is a battle fans want to see.

It's almost guaranteed that Reigns will be leaving WrestleMania as Universal Champion, so a great feud with Ambrose whenever he comes back would be great. Ambrose returns as his friend and immediately turns on Reigns.

'The Guy' will have plenty of opponents until Ambrose returns, but a feud between these two should be high on the list. Dean is due a heel turn anyway so it will work out in the long run. We will have to wait until he returns, but we are excited about the possibilities.
