#2 The Undertaker conundrum

3-4 years late?
3-4 years late?

Yes, The Undertaker will answer John Cena’s challenge at The Showcase of the Immortals. Why, you ask? Just look at the below poster in New Orleans.

The WWE Universe cried when The Undertaker “retired” after last year’s Wrestlemania. It was a beautiful sight to see The Deadman leaving his jacket and hat in the squared circle - a mysterious goodbye to a mysterious Superstar.

But the veteran was nowhere near his best during the ‘No Holds Barred’ match against Roman Reigns. He looked out of sorts and it was heart-breaking to see such a performance from the man who won 23 matches at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

But, WWE has not learnt from their mistakes as The Undertaker is all set to fight John Cena at Wrestlemania 34. Don’t get me wrong, it is “The Undertaker vs John Cena” - a Dream Wrestlemania match, the match we wanted to see for years.

But in all fairness, we wanted to see the face of the WWE fighting against The Phenom. Instead, we will get to see John Cena, who is going through the stalest phase of his character, facing a 53-year old veteran.

Even if The Undertaker comes out as The American Badass, it does not make his physique any better. And what if The Undertaker loses at the Superdome? A third loss at Mania!

23-3 is a very good record, but it's not what The Undertaker deserves after his historic streak. In the end, it will have a little to nothing significance as compared to 21-1 or even 23-2.
