4 wrestlers who should've main evented WrestleMania

Mr. Perfect

WrestleMania is WWE's biggest show of the year. Every wrestler on the roster works hard all year to hopefully get a spot on the show, and the biggest names always get to main event the show.

But WWE seems to always have the same Superstars close the show, with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and more recently, Roman Reigns, closing the show.

WWE has had plenty of stars over the years who never got a chance to main event on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'. It's a shame because these are talents who deserved to be there. Let's look at a few here:

#4 Booker T

E
Five-time world champion

Booker T won the world heavyweight championship on five separate occasions and was in the wrestling business for over 20 years. In that time, he had some really good and bad moments. He was a WCW World Champion and WWE World Heavyweight Champion during his run as 'King' Booker.

The closest he ever got to being in the main event at WrestleMania was against Triple H at the 19th edition of the show. The storyline was horrible every way you looked at it and Triple H came out the winner after convincing people backstage that he should win.

He was one of the top guys in WCW and had a much better run there than in WWE. As great as his career was, Booker falls into the 'underrated' category, and was a great who could've done even more in WWE.

#3 Rey Mysterio

Former world champion

WrestleMania 22 was the closest Mysterio came to closing the biggest show of the year. He won the Royal Rumble that year and would go on to win his first world title in a triple threat match.

As great of a career he has had, he never got to end the show. Besides winning the WWE Championship for about an hour before dropping it to Cena, he's never been in the main event scene that much.

He had a string of matches against the likes of JBL, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, but he never got to close the show.

#2 Eddie Guerrero

Latino Heat

November 13, 2005 was a day we lost one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step into a ring. Eddie Guerrero's death shocked the world as we weren't expecting it to happen.

The closest Guerrero got to being in the main event was at WrestleMania 20 against Kurt Angle. The match ended with Guerrero rolling up Angle for the win.

We will never know if he were to have the same success years later. But having at least one main event would've been great to watch.

#1 Ric Flair

The Nature Boy

Can you believe that Ric Flair never got to main event WrestleMania! A career that stood the test of time for over forty years ended without him closing the show.

Without a doubt, he's had memorable matches at the event. He had a classic battle against The Undertaker, was involved in a MITB ladder match and his emotional 'retirement' match against Shawn Michaels.

Flair has given us plenty of memories over the years and it's a shame that he never got to close the biggest show WWE has.
