The decision to break up The Hurt Business wasn't met with a great reception by WWE fans. It appears to be a situation where Bobby Lashley and MVP tried to talk Vince McMahon out of breaking up The Hurt Business, but in an attempt to get heat on Bobby Lashley, WWE had him ditch Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.

The Hurt Business helped give Alexander and Benjamin regular TV time in WWE as well as a brief run as RAW Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately, that could end soon. According to Dave Meltzer of WON, Vince McMahon has given up on pushing Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Bobby Lashley tried to talk Vince McMahon out of this but the WWE Chairman has given up on pushing Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.

We hope this isn't true, but without The Hurt Business, it's highly likely that Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin won't get TV time in WWE anymore.
