By the time the early 90s started to roll around in WWE, Barry Darsow already had multiple reigns as tag team champion on his resume. He had been one-half of one of the most popular acts in the WWE as Smash of Demolition. But after Demolition disbanded, Barry Darsow was due a repackaging.

In the early ’90s, that repackaging came in the form of The Repo Man. While some fans might consider this as a candidate for the Gimmick Hall of Shame, it’s easy to forget that Repo Man was a heavily featured character at the time. He was involved in more than a few major TV feuds, including then-Intercontinental Champion British Bulldog and Macho Man Randy Savage. He was also featured on the cards of both WWE WrestleMania VIII and SummerSlam 1992.

While the gimmick itself may not have been quite as bad as some might remember, the ring attire designed for the character certainly was. That includes this version of ring gear that was only seen on television a handful of times, at most.
